Finally! I have a pepper, make that peppers, to try!
At first, I thought they were jalapeno peppers. Then, the second one came out looking like a mini green bell pepper. I started both varieties. So, after a taste test I can definitively tell you…it’s a pepper. There was no heat, but the “wang” of a green bell pepper was also missing. Maybe it is because garden bell peppers taste different than store bought?
I have more peppers coming up in my kitchen garden and the leaves are different than those out back so I’m hoping that at least one is a hot pepper. If not, I will be frequenting the farmer’s market to get enough for canning salsa!
