It’s amazing what a few days and some rain will do for plants. They had been getting plenty of sunshine, but the rain really greened them up.

If it were called a brussel sprout.
A strawberry, I guess, would still be a treat
If it were dubbed a pig snout.
But I am glad for what they are named
The sound brings me such delight
It would be weird, (and really quite lame)
To call them a foot or a mite
a pinch of homestead
