GAK Attack

Another fun activity/experiment with Joe was long overdue so we made  slime, or Gak this afternoon.

Here’s what you need: borax, food coloring, water and glue. I used clear, but regular would work too.

First, dissolve one teaspoon of borax in one cup of water. In a separate bowl mix food coloring and 1/2 cup of water. Add 4 oz of glue and stir. Eventually, you will have to start mixing with your hands because it will get so thick and rubbery.

Joe loved it! We played catch with it once it all stuck together.

Whenever we are doing something like this the first thing he does is run to his stool saying “help mommy”, as in he gets to help. This small joy reminds me that messes can be cleaned up, but time spent with my little guy is fleeting…he won’t be little and that excited to “help mommy” forever…so I’d better take advantage
